Congratulations! You've set up your e-commerce store and made your first sale, give yourself a pat on the back. The journey isn't over yet though. Now it's time to send the client their product and fulfil the order.
Since you'll be making plenty of sales, keeping track of them can get complicated, but the CRM has you covered. You can view all orders that have been placed, along with their details and status, all in one place. By fulfilling orders inside the system, you keep everything easily accessible for both you and your customers.
How to Fulfil an Order?
Head over to the Orders tab inside the Payments section. Here you'll see all orders that have been placed.
Click the three dots icon to open View Order, where you'll find all the relevant order information.
Click on Fulfill Items. This opens a pop-up for you to add the fulfilment information.
In that window, fill out the tracking number, carrier, and tracking link.
You have the option to toggle Notify Customer, which will send an email to the client with their order information.
Once done, click Save. This marks the order as Fulfilled inside the system.
Partial Fulfilment
If you encounter an order where you don't have all items in stock, you can do a Partial Fulfillment. This lets you keep the customer happy by sending what you have available now and following up with the rest later, rather than holding up the whole package.
In Fulfill Items, choose the quantity of each item that needs to be fulfilled in this case. Then follow the rest of the steps as described in the previous section.
These orders will be marked as Partially Fulfilled, which lets you access the order details and fulfil the remainder when you're ready.
In the order details page, items that have been partially fulfilled will have their details listed. Click on Fulfill Items to complete the order; items already sent will be subtracted from the list.
Why Should You Use This?
You might wonder why it's worth going through this process. This feature helps you keep track of the status of your orders and your stock levels. You can use it to upsell related products or collect feedback from customers.
Overall, staying on top of order fulfilment means you don't over or understock, your clients are happy with the service, and you're in control of the next steps when it comes to marketing to your audience.
