“I really enjoyed it and found Bertie's talk genuinely useful. One of my biggest takeaways was the perspective on how to introduce AI to people who may not have much prior experience with it. Framing it in practical, everyday terms rather than technical ones felt like the right approach, especially in the charity sector. I also really liked the example linking AI and "laziness" - in the sense that using AI to remove repetitive or low-value tasks can actually free people up to focus on more meaningful, human-led work. That framing felt honest, relatable, and much easier for people to connect with. Overall, it was a great session and definitely gave me a few ideas to reflect on.”
Where AI fits.
Where it doesn't.
Two to four weeks. We interview your team, audit the tools they actually use, and play back a costed plan that points to where AI saves the most time, cuts the most cost, and lifts the customer experience the most. From £3,000 +VAT.
Complimentary 30-minute discovery call to discuss your needs.

Time, money, and the customer experience you can't fake.
Every business we audit is sitting on the same three opportunities. The Deep Dive finds yours, names them, and prices the fix.
Save your team's week back
Email triage, meeting notes, status reports, research, first-draft proposals. The recurring work that eats your team's day is exactly the work AI takes off the plate fastest. We find the highest-leverage swaps and put hours back where they count.
Cut the tools you're paying for twice
Most businesses are paying for tools they don't need and missing tools they should have. Sales has four CRMs, marketing has two analytics suites, ops is on a free tier that breaks every Friday. We sort the stack and free up the budget for the tools that actually move the number.
Lift the customer experience
AI is the difference between a customer who churns silently and one who tells two friends. Faster responses, better answers, fewer dropped balls. We pinpoint the touchpoints AI can transform, from first reply to renewal conversation, and what it does to the numbers when it lands.
Three steps. Two to four weeks.
By the playback session you know which workflows to automate first, which tools to consolidate, and where the biggest wins for staff and customers actually live. Yours to act on, in-house, no dependency on us.
Discovery interviews
Group interviews and async questionnaires with the people doing the work. We ask what is burning time, where AI has been tried and abandoned, and what your team would build if they had it.
Tool & process audit
A sweep of every tool in active use. Where data lives, what is duplicated, what is manual that should not be, what is automated but failing silently, and which paid licences nobody else knows about.
Pattern playback
We present what we found, grouped into themes, with a friction-to-impact map and the highest-leverage opportunities ranked. You leave the playback with a costed plan and named owners.
Three lines we hear in nearly every Deep Dive.
If any of them land, you'd get value from the exercise.
- “ We tried an AI tool last year. It did not work. We wrote AI off. (Turns out we had not given it the right brief.)
- “ Two people on the team are doing serious work with AI. The rest of the company has no idea.
- “ Staff are using personal AI accounts for client work. There is no policy and no approved-tool list.
What you walk away with.
Everything your team, your board, and the developers who come after you need to put real money behind AI. Three deliverables come as standard. Four further add-on reports can be specified upfront so we shape the questionnaire and research around them.
Always included Core deliverables
Written report
A deck-ready document covering interviews, themes, tooling audit, and recommendations. Yours to share internally.
Governance starter pack
Data classification, approved-tool whitelist, spend guardrails, and an AI-use policy template ready to adapt.
Prototype shortlist
Three to five live workflow candidates, scoped and ready to build in a follow-on engagement.
Add-on reports Specified before interviews
Opportunity matrix
Every candidate use case, formally scored on impact and effort, with recommended sequence and named owner.
Tooling shortlist
What to keep, consolidate, retire, introduce. Vendor comparison with current pricing and licence routes.
Decision framework
The rule for how to evaluate the next AI tool, build, or experiment, so the team can act without us in the room.
30 / 60 / 90 day plan
What ships in the first month, what gets stress-tested in the second, what scales in the third. Named owners, KPIs.
Two fixed-fee tiers. No day-rate gambling.
A full audit, a written report, a governance pack, and a prototype shortlist. Typically the difference between guessing at AI and putting real money behind it.

What People Say About Working With Us
Real feedback from businesses we've audited and built with
“I've learned so many new things about AI from organising this event itself - and enjoyed learning more about Bertie's career journey too. Looking forward to catching up more in the new year!”
“Bertie's talk was a real highlight, and we were so glad to have him and NotLuck involved. We know many of those who joined us benefited from his practical insights on using AI and gained new perspectives. It's definitely a topic we'll be continuing to explore in the year ahead!”
“Last night I had the pleasure of attending the Nottingham Charity Network event and what an inspiring evening it was. A huge thank you to the panel for sharing their insights, and especially to Bertie, whose talk truly opened my mind to new perspectives on AI. His ability to engage the room and make complex ideas feel accessible was brilliant. I left feeling energised, informed, and excited about the possibilities ahead for AI in the charity sector.”
Things people ask first.
How long does a Deep Dive take?
For a single team, expect a couple of weeks end to end: planning meeting in week one, questionnaire and group interview in week two, written report and playback session shortly after. Multi-team engagements run two to four weeks depending on cohort size.
Who needs to be in the room?
A sponsor at leadership level for the planning meeting and playback. The team itself for the group interview, ideally with at least one sceptic. We design the questionnaire to pull out perspectives that the loudest voices in the room might overshadow.
Can it be done remotely?
Yes. Most Deep Dives run on Zoom or Teams. We can also come on-site or host the planning and playback at our Nottingham office, whichever suits.
What if we already know what we want to build?
Then a Deep Dive is overkill, and we will tell you so on the discovery call. Skip straight to a Custom Training engagement or a Boot Camp Week.
What happens after the playback?
You own the report and every artefact in it. The 30-day support window covers questions and clarifications. From there you can run the rollout in-house, bring us back to build, or take the tooling and governance pack to whoever does the work.
Find the AI wins hiding in your business.
Thirty minutes, no deck. We'll figure out together where AI can hand your team time back, sharpen the tools that already work, and lift the customer experience the most. By the end, you'll know whether a Deep Dive is the right next step, and you'll walk away with a few wins you can act on either way.
