Settlement Timing and Transaction Failures

ACH transactions aren't processed in real time; it can take 4-5 business days for the bank to confirm payment. Invoices paid by bank transfer will move to a "Payment Processing" status, then update to "success" or "failed" once the bank confirms. Failures can happen for reasons such as insufficient funds, invalid account numbers, or a customer disabling debits.

Verification and Mandates

ACH Direct Debit requires customer permission via a mandate that sets out the payment terms. The customer must agree to this before any payments can be collected. Mandates are shown on the payment page to keep things clear and straightforward.

Key Information

ACH bank transfers typically take 5-6 business days to settle. During this time, the payment status shows as "processing" until the bank confirms it.
