For Canadian 10-digit long code (10DLC) numbers, there are a few things to keep in mind when messaging. Here's what you need to know.

Messaging Within Canada

If your phone number was purchased before 26th March 2025, you're not required to undergo Application-to-Person (A2P) registration for messaging fellow Canadians. If purchased after that point, A2P registration is mandatory to send messages to Canadian recipients.

Messaging to the United States

To reach U.S. recipients, your 10DLC number must be A2P registered; this requirement applies to all Canadian numbers.

Ensure your messages contain a clear way for customers to disengage with your marketing and avoid the following categories in your content to ensure compliance with legal regulations.
