There may come a time when you need to remove a phone number from your account, whether you're no longer using it or you want to switch to a different one. To get started, head to the bottom left of the CRM dashboard and click "Settings", then select "Phone Numbers" to see your Twilio numbers.
Deleting a Twilio Number
Once you're in the "Phone Numbers" section, you'll see a trash icon next to each number. Click the three dots button next to the number you want to remove.

A confirmation prompt will appear, asking you to type "delete" to confirm the action. This is how you remove a Twilio number from your account.

Releasing a Twilio number removes it from your account and makes it available for others to purchase. A few things to keep in mind:
- Once released, the number moves to the "Released Phone Numbers" section on your Twilio console page.
- If you change your mind, you can repurchase the number, provided it hasn't been bought by someone else.
- If more than 10 days have passed since the release, you may need to contact Twilio support to retrieve the number.
