What it does for you
Lets you chat with customers on WhatsApp from the CRM, with every message saved to their record.
Steps
- Decide which number you want to use for WhatsApp. It needs to be a number you control and can receive a verification code on.
- Tell us the number. We will start the connection with you, because it needs your business details and a verification step.
- Approve the connection with your Facebook business account when you are asked to.
- Enter the verification code sent to the number.
- Send a message to the number from your own phone and reply from the CRM.
You'll know it worked when
- The number shows as connected in the CRM.
- Your test message appears in the CRM as a conversation.
- Your reply from the CRM arrives on your phone.
Common snags
- Which number to use. A number that is already registered on WhatsApp can need extra steps before it can be connected. Check with us first, so you do not lose access to chats on your phone.
- Your phone app and the CRM at the same time. Ask us whether your setup allows both, because it depends on the number.
- You cannot get the verification code. The number must be able to receive a call or text. Landlines usually need the call option.
- You cannot find your Facebook business account. The person who set up your business page usually owns it. Ask them to approve the connection.
- Messages to customers who have not messaged you recently may need an approved template. Ask us to help you set the first ones up.
