What it does for you
Lets you take card payments through invoices and payment links, with the money going straight to your own account.
Steps
- Open Settings, then Payments, and choose Integrations.
- Choose Stripe and connect. If you do not have a Stripe account yet, you can create one during this step.
- Complete the business and bank details Stripe asks for. This is between you and Stripe, and it is what lets payouts reach you.
- Choose live mode when you are ready to take real payments.
- Create a small payment link or invoice and pay it yourself with a card to check it works.
You'll know it worked when
- Stripe shows as connected in Payments.
- Your test payment appears in the CRM against the contact.
- The payment shows in your Stripe account.
Common snags
- Payments are not paying out. Stripe may be waiting for identity or bank details. Check your Stripe dashboard for anything marked as needed.
- You are in test mode. Test payments are not real. Switch to live mode when you are ready.
- VAT. Set up your tax rate before sending invoices, so prices show correctly.
- You already use another payment tool. You can keep it for now and move over when you are ready.
