Managing your Google Business Profile is important for improving local search visibility, keeping your brand consistent, and building customer trust. The GBP Optimization feature within the Reputation tab makes it easy to update your profile details, monitor reviews, preview changes in real time, and keep track of your profile's overall health, all from one place. This guide covers how to use the GBP Optimization tools to keep your listing complete, up-to-date, and working for you.

Managing Your Google Business Profile

Access the GBP Optimization Interface

Navigate to the GBP Optimization tab within the Reputation section, then select the desired business location from the dropdown to begin.

Your current GBP score will be visible in the upper section of the screen, along with your previous score, so you can see the improvements made after using this tool.

Overview

Keep your key business details accurate and consistent by updating the business name and description, adding product images, company logos, or other relevant images, and your phone number.

You can also add WhatsApp/Text Message chat options, categories, and any service your company offers.

📌Note: If both the WhatsApp and Text Message fields are filled, Text Message will take priority as the contact method shown on the GBP listing.

You can add special Attributes (e.g., veteran-owned, pet-friendly, etc.), your company address, opening date, operating hours, and phone number.

This ensures your listing aligns with what customers are searching for.

Social Profiles

Strengthen your business credibility and give customers more ways to connect by adding relevant social media links (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.) to your profile.

Be sure to click the Save button to retain your changes!

Reviews

Use the Reviews section to view all GBP reviews in one place, monitor customer sentiment, and respond promptly to feedback.

Scheduled Posts

Here, you can view your scheduled content (1) or use the quick redirection option (2) to access the social planner to plan and schedule GBP content in advance.

View all scheduled posts in the main GBP Optimization dashboard. Once published, they'll appear under Preview → Updates. You can edit, reschedule, or delete any upcoming post at any time.

Use the Live Preview Tool

As you make updates, the Live Preview panel shows how your listing will appear to customers on Google Search and Google Maps.

This lets you check accuracy and presentation before finalising changes.

Track Profile Completeness

Keep your listing fully optimised by reviewing your Profile Score to see how complete your profile is, and follow the alerts and tooltips that flag areas needing attention so you can work through them step by step.
