The Category Started workflow trigger fires when a contact starts a new category in a membership product. To use it, click Add New Workflow Trigger in the workflow builder, then choose Category Started from the available options.

Workflow Trigger Name

Update the name that will be displayed in the builder.

Filters

Use filters to control which contacts enter the workflow based on your chosen criteria.

Product

Select 'Product' from the Filters dropdown, choose your operator, then select the product or products you want to trigger the workflow.

Category

To filter by category within a product, add another filter and choose 'Category' from the list. You can then select 'Is any of' or 'Is none of' and pick the relevant product category.

When you're happy with your selections, save the trigger to your workflow.

This trigger lets you track when contacts start a product category and kick off actions straight away, such as sending a congratulatory email, to keep engagement high.
