The password management system comes with several features to improve flexibility and security. Users can set their own passwords, benefit from user-specific Magic Links, and enjoy a smoother login experience. These features simplify password management, improve onboarding, and make the system more secure and straightforward.
Flexibility in Password Management
- User-defined passwords: Users can set their passwords from the loginUrl. Passwords will not be automatically generated.
- Magic Links: User-specific Magic Links will be sent across all course emails and triggers, allowing users to set their passwords seamlessly.
How It Works
Sending the Initial Email
The system automatically sends the initial email when an offer is granted or a purchase is completed, based on your configuration. If the default template is enabled in Membership Settings, the email will include a link for login access.
If you've created a custom email template, make sure the Login URL custom field is included.
If you've set up a workflow for sending the initial email, make sure the loginUrl is included in the template or plain text editor.
📌Note: Users will need this link to set their passwords.
Setting the Password
If users try to log in before setting their password, they'll be redirected to the Set Password page.
Forget Password Flow
Users will receive a reset link that allows them to set their password within two hours of their request.
After selecting the "Reset Password" button, users are prompted to enter a new password and confirm it by retyping it in the field below.
Users are automatically logged in once their password has been reset.
These features help ensure a smooth, secure login experience for all users, reducing friction while keeping security high.
