The Settings tab in the workflow builder covers communication settings, contact engagement, conversation tracking, and workflow sequencing. Check this tab whenever you're building a workflow to make sure messages go out at the right time.

Go to the workflows section and open a workflow.

Switch to the Settings tab.

Contact Management

Allow Re-Entry

Controls whether a contact can re-enter the workflow after finishing it or being removed. When enabled, a contact can come back into the workflow as long as they're not currently active in it. Workflows triggered by appointments or invoices will always accept contacts more than once, regardless of this setting.

Allow Multiple Opportunity

Lets a contact with multiple opportunities trigger separate runs of the workflow. Each opportunity starts its own run, even for the same contact. Even with 'Allow Re-entry' turned off, each opportunity is still processed on its own.

Stop on Response

When enabled, the workflow stops for a contact as soon as they reply to any message it sends, giving you control over the interaction.

Communication Management

Timezone

Workflow actions can run on either the Account Timezone or the Contact Timezone. Account Timezone means everything runs on your business's local time, which is useful if your actions are tied to your working hours. Contact Timezone runs actions at the right local time for each contact, which is handy if you're dealing with people in different countries.

Time Window

Time Window limits when actions can run. If something triggers outside that window, the action is held back until the window opens again. Turn it off and messages can go out at any hour.

Sender Details

Set a default sender name and email for outgoing messages. You can override these on individual email actions within the workflow.

From Number

Set the phone number your SMS messages will be sent from.

Conversations - Mark as Read

Marks automated workflow messages as read in the conversation tab. By default they appear as unread; enabling this keeps things tidy.

Take a few minutes to review these settings and your workflows will run smoothly, messages will go out at the right time, and your contacts will be well managed.
