Rentals help you manage bookable inventory, such as equipment or vehicles. Unlike traditional appointment scheduling, they are designed for duration-based, inventory-driven bookings, so the calendar view is built around that. Here's how it works.

Calendar view

To view your Rental bookings, start by selecting Rentals from the view dropdown menu.

This view shows a breakdown of all bookings for your available listings. If a listing has one or more variants, it will appear with a plus sign icon next to it.

Clicking the plus sign next to a listing will expand the view to show the variants. Click the minus icon to collapse it again.

Quick Action - Today

To jump back to today's date, click the Today button in the top left of the page. The current day will be highlighted.

Cycle Date Range

To move through days, weeks, or months, use the left and right arrows at the top left of the page, next to the Today button. Use these to browse past or upcoming bookings on your calendar.

Change Date Range

You can track upcoming bookings by adjusting the date range on your calendar. View bookings for the month, week, or day. The calendar defaults to week view; to switch, click the "Weekly View" button and choose your preferred option.

Filtering Options

To filter the results, click Manage View to open the filters on the right side.

The general filters are:

By Type

Filter the calendar to show all entries, bookings only, or blocked slots. It defaults to showing everything.

Listings

Here, you can filter your calendar by selecting the product(s) and variant(s) you want to see.

Categories

Filter the shown bookings by the category they belong to. To only see bookings for a category, check the box next to it.

Status

Filter by Status to limit the view to listings at a specific stage, such as booked or cancelled.

Payment Status

Filter by Payment Status to limit the view to listings at a specific payment stage, such as pending or partially paid.

Adding A Booking

You can create rental bookings in the calendar view by clicking the "+ New" button in the top right corner.

Alternatively, click and drag across available future dates or time slots to open the booking creation panel with pre-filled listing product, start, and end details.

Colour Coding for Clarity

Bookings are colour-coded by status. Here's what each colour represents:

  1. Active Bookings
  2. Confirmed Bookings
  3. Cancelled Bookings
  4. Unconfirmed Bookings
  5. Completed Bookings

Additional Info on Hover

Hover over any booking to see a snapshot of the details, including booking status, title, quantity, and start and end times. No need to click.

That covers the calendar view for Rentals. You can now navigate your bookings, manage inventory, and keep on top of product availability with ease.
