To strengthen account security and protect against the fraudulent use of regulated phone numbers, Persona identity verification is required when purchasing numbers within the United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico. This supports regulatory compliance while enhancing security and trust within NotLuck CRM.
When Is Persona Verification Required?
Identity verification through Persona is only required under the following conditions:
- You're purchasing a number with a +1 country code (US, Canada, or Puerto Rico)
- Your sub-account has not previously completed the Persona verification process
Why This Matters
This added layer of security brings several benefits to users:
- Supports Regulatory Compliance: Ensures alignment with telecom industry identity requirements.
- Prevents Fraudulent Use: Reduces the misuse of regulated phone numbers by unverified or malicious actors.

How It Works
Initiating a Phone Number Purchase
If you're purchasing a US, Canada, or Puerto Rico number and haven't already completed Persona verification, a secure identity verification prompt will appear automatically.

Uploading Valid Identification
You'll be guided to upload a valid, government-issued ID, such as a passport, driver's licence, or national ID card. Accepted document types vary depending on the country selected.

Live Selfie Verification
Once the document is uploaded, the system requests a live selfie to match the ID, using your device's webcam or phone camera. This confirms that the person submitting the document is the rightful owner.

Once verification is complete, the purchase proceeds instantly and no further action is needed.
This one-time verification step ensures that only legitimate users can access regulated phone numbers, protecting businesses, their customers, and NotLuck CRM as a whole.
✍️ Important Notes
- Persona verification is also enabled for +1 Number Pool purchases.
- If the Persona verification modal doesn't appear, users may need to refresh the page to load the updated flow.
- Once an account is verified, you will not be asked to complete Persona verification again.
- The verification status is retained and applied to all future compliance-related actions within that account, including Phone Number Purchases, A2P 10DLC Brand Registrations, Toll-Free Number Verifications, CNAM (Caller ID) Setups, and SHAKEN/STIR Authentication.
