Quizzes are a great way to check student progress and improve the learning experience. This guide takes you through creating, customising, and finalising quizzes in the CRM. You'll see how to structure assessments, personalise settings, and optimise questions to keep learners engaged. We'll also cover previewing and publishing so everything is ready before students start.

Getting Started with Assessments

Open the membership course you want to add a quiz to.

Find the category or subcategory where you want the assessment to appear, then click the plus icon to add a quiz.

Enter a name, select the module your quiz will sit in, then click Create Quiz.

Customising Your Assessment

Once created, customise the assessment to suit your course.

Setting a Passing Grade

Decide whether the quiz requires a passing score. If so, specify the percentage needed to pass.

Quiz Thumbnail

Add a thumbnail to give learners a quick visual sense of the content. Thumbnails help with engagement, provide context, summarise the content, and reinforce branding, which drives higher visibility and click-through rates.

📌Note: The recommended dimensions for the thumbnail are 1280 x 720 pixels.

Custom Messages

Write custom messages to congratulate students who pass, and to let those who don't know their result.

Adding Questions

Click on "Add Question" to insert the questions you wish to ask.

You can choose between single-choice and multiple-choice questions. For each option, you can:

  • Specify the correct answer.
  • Remove any unwanted options.
  • Add explanations to give more context about the choices.

You can also upload quiz questions via CSV by clicking the Import Questions button.

Download the sample file, fill it with your quiz data, and follow the template structure exactly. Fill in every mandatory column, then upload the CSV. Questions load within seconds, cutting down on manual effort.

Remember to save your changes after editing the assessment.

Enhancing Your Questions

A few options to make your quiz more engaging and informative:

Formatting Options

  • Adjust the font style, size, and colour. You can also format text, insert code, and align content as needed.

  • Use Custom Values to personalise quiz content dynamically, such as inserting student names or course details. Tables allow you to present structured data in an easy-to-read format within your quiz.

  • Upload images to questions from your media library or by using a source link. You can adjust the size and aspect ratio of the images.

Finalising Your Quiz

Before making your quiz available to students, you have two visibility options:

  • Draft: Choose this option if your quiz is not ready to be attempted by students.
  • Publish: Select this when your quiz is complete and ready for student participation.

The Draft/ Publish field indicates the current visibility setting of your assessment. Select the button to adjust the visibility.

Previewing and Publishing

Once you're happy with the quiz, preview it to check everything looks right. Note that preview mode does not allow answer submissions; that only works when students access the quiz through an actual domain.

Lastly, click Save & Publish to add the quiz to your product and start testing your learners.

Follow the steps above to build a thorough, interactive assessment. Run through the preview before publishing to make sure everything is ready for students.

Troubleshooting Tips

  1. Question Content Disappears When Reordering: If question content disappears temporarily when you reorder, close and reopen the question to refresh the view.
  2. Saving Changes: Always save after making modifications to make sure they are applied.
