Whilst automation is commonly used to create opportunities, it's worth knowing how to create them manually too. Adding opportunities to the CRM makes it easy to keep track of where each contact sits in your sales process.
To create a new opportunity, head to the Opportunities section from your account Dashboard, then click the "+ Add Opportunity" button.

Contact Details
Start by entering the contact's information.
- Primary Contact Name: Enter the name to be associated with the opportunity card.
- Primary Email: Add the best email address for your contact.
- Primary Phone: Add the contact's phone number.

Opportunity Details
- Opportunity Name: Give your opportunity a name. This is usually the full name of the contact or their company.
- Pipeline: Select which pipeline you're adding this opportunity to. This is important for keeping things organised and tracking data correctly through the pipeline.
- Stage: Assign the opportunity to a stage in your pipeline to show where the contact is in the sales process.
- Status: Assign a status to the opportunity. This shows whether it's open, won, abandoned, or lost.
- Opportunity Value: Add a monetary value to the opportunity so conversion revenue and costs can be tracked accurately. By default, this is tracked in USD.
- Owner: Assign a user to the opportunity. This is useful when managing sales teams or call centres, so agents know which opportunities are theirs.
- Followers: Assign users to monitor progress and ensure tasks and milestones are being met.

- Business Name: Enter the name of the business the opportunity is affiliated with.
- Opportunity Source: If you know where the opportunity came from, enter a source here to keep track of acquisition data.
- Tags: Add tags to the opportunity.
- Custom Fields: Love
