The Custom Date Reminder trigger starts the workflow on any specific date you choose. It's ideal for sending account review reminders or appointment reminders ahead of a meeting or event.
To begin, click on Add New Workflow Trigger and select Custom Date Reminder from the dropdown menu under Choose a Workflow Trigger.

Custom Date Field
You'll need to add a filter with the Custom Date Field, as this will only trigger if a date has already been set in the CRM, for example, a signature date for a contract.

Once you've selected a custom date, you can add more filters by clicking + Add Filter.

If you're using a Custom Object, Opportunity, or Company-based workflow, the field will change accordingly to Custom Object Date Field, Opportunity Date Field, or Company Date Field.
After No. of Days
The After No. of Days filter lets you set a reminder a specific number of days after the selected date.

Before No. of Days
The Before No. of Days filter lets you send a notification a few days before the selected date. For example, you could select an event's start date and use this to send reminders in the days leading up to it.

Day Is
The Day Is filter lets you pick a specific day of the month, like the 1st or the 15th, to trigger your workflow. Handy for monthly subscriptions!

Month Is
This triggers the workflow in the selected month. You can use it alongside the Day Is filter, or leave it on its own to trigger on the first of the month.

Has Tag
Select a tag from the CRM. When a tag is applied to the contact's workflow, the workflow will only trigger on the selected date for contacts who have that tag.
