The Custom Objects Changed trigger lets you automate a process whenever changes are made to your Custom Objects. It's especially useful when you need consistent actions or updates to happen each time something changes within these objects. This helps simplify repetitive processes, saving time and reducing the chance of manual errors.

How It Works

Start by creating a new workflow in the Automation section, or open an existing Objects workflow from the list.

📌Note: The title of the Custom Object workflow option will vary depending on the Custom Objects you have configured in the Settings > Objects section and will take the format of {{Custom Object Name}} based workflow.

In this guide, we'll use an Examples Custom Object to show how the Custom Objects Changed trigger works.

Add New Trigger

Rename the workflow, then click to add a trigger and select the {{Custom Object}} Changed trigger from the list.

Workflow Trigger Name

Update the Workflow Trigger Name if needed to clearly describe what the trigger does.

Applying Filters

Add filters to set the conditions that activate the workflow. You can filter by object custom fields and the object type.

From the dropdown, select an operator to complete the filter. You can set the trigger to activate for all changes or only specific ones.

For operators that rely on specific changes, enter the phrase you want in the value field. This field supports alphanumeric characters and symbols, so you can define precise criteria for the trigger.

Make sure the input accurately reflects the conditions needed for the workflow to run.

Review your trigger configuration, then click Save to add it to your workflow.

You can then set up object-specific actions, like creating, updating, or clearing custom object records, to automate your object management.
