The birthday reminder trigger is an automated feature that celebrates a customer's special day by sending a personalised notification. It helps you build stronger, lasting relationships with your customers by showing appreciation and thoughtfulness at the right moment.
Adding the Birthday Reminder Trigger
Start by clicking the "Add New Trigger" button and selecting Birthday Reminder from the options.
📌NOTE: To publish a workflow after adding a trigger, you must establish both triggers and actions. Without both, you can only save the workflow and not publish it.
Add Filters
Click the "Add Filters" button to customise your birthday reminders by choosing from the available filters.
After No. of Days
The "After a Specific Number of Days" filter lets you set reminders a certain number of days after a customer's birthday. This is useful for follow-up messages or post-birthday greetings. For example, if you'd like to send a message five days after the celebration, simply enter "5" as the number of days and the workflow will trigger the reminder accordingly.
Before No. of Days
The "Before a Specific Number of Days" filter lets you send a notification a few days before a customer or team member's birthday. For instance, if someone's birthday is on 3rd August, you could set the reminder to go out on 2nd August. The workflow would send a message on the 2nd, and you can use the "Wait" action to follow up with a birthday SMS on the exact day, 3rd August.
Day Is
The "Day Is" filter triggers a workflow on the exact date of the customer's birthday. Use this option to make sure celebratory messages are delivered right on their special day.
Month Is
The "Month Is" filter lets you send bulk birthday messages to all celebrants in a specific month. For example, you can send a message on the 1st of every month to all customers or team members whose birthdays fall within that month. This makes it straightforward to manage and celebrate multiple birthdays at once.
Once you've set up your filters and reminders, click "Save Trigger" to finalise your birthday reminder workflow.
