The Funnel Step Tab is where you manage, customise, and optimise individual steps in your sales funnel. This guide covers the available features, from adding new steps to running split tests, so your funnel can work the way you need it to.

To get started, go to the Sites section of the CRM. In the Funnels tab, choose one of your existing funnels. You'll be taken straight to the Step tab, where you can make changes and adjust things as needed.

Funnel Header

At the top of the page, you'll see a header with several sections. Each one covers a different part of your sales funnels, with the tools you need to manage them.

Steps

Funnels are built from steps that guide visitors towards completing specific actions, such as making a purchase or booking an appointment. Here you can: create new funnel steps, rearrange steps via drag-and-drop, and assign products to steps.

Funnel Steps

The left sidebar shows a list of your existing funnel steps. Drag and drop them to reorder as needed.

Add New Funnel Step

Click the "Add New Step or Import" button to add a new step to your funnel. This lets you expand and customise your funnel to suit your marketing needs.

You can assign a unique URL path to your funnel step or use the step name as the URL path. The URL path is required to save and implement the step successfully.

Name Your Funnel Step

Give your new funnel step a clear name. Keeping a consistent naming convention across your steps is important, as it makes organisation much easier as your funnel grows.

Establish Funnel Path

You can give your funnel step a unique URL path, or use the step name as the path. The URL path is a required field, so you'll need to fill it in before saving.

Import From ClickFunnels (Optional)

You can import funnels directly from ClickFunnels, though this is optional. If you've already built funnels there, you can bring them across by adding the relevant funnel URL in the designated field. This makes for a smooth transition of your existing work.

Finish the process by clicking the "Create Funnel Step" button.

Overview Tab

The Overview tab gives you access to each funnel step so you can make edits as needed, keeping your steps in line with your marketing goals and giving visitors a good experience.

Products Tab

Create and manage products directly within your funnel. You can offer one-time purchases or subscription-based products, catering to different customer preferences.

Publishing Tab

Update the step name and URL path in the Publishing Tab. This gives you flexibility to adjust your funnel's structure and presentation.

Funnel Page Setting

Clicking the gear icon takes you to the Publishing page, where you can update the step name and URL path.

Funnel Page URL

This is your domain combined with the URL path you assigned to the funnel step. It's the address where your funnel step lives online.

Open Funnel Page

This button sits to the right of the URL and looks like a square with an arrow. Clicking it opens the funnel page in a new browser tab, so you can view the step without losing your place in the CRM.

Preview Image

This section shows a preview image of your funnel step so you can see how it currently looks.

Build/Edit Funnel Step

To edit a step, click Edit Page or Edit in a New Tab (the 'In New Tab' button opens the step using its exact URL path). This opens the page editor with a full set of customisation tools.

Preview In Web Browser

You'll see an icon that looks like a square with an arrow, which lets you open a preview of the step without affecting your analytics or conversion metrics. Viewing a preview rather than visiting the actual URL keeps your data accurate. Clicking it opens the preview in a new browser tab.

Edit Funnel Name & Path

Clicking the settings icon reveals a button that takes you to the Publishing tab, where you can update the funnel step name and its URL path.

Split Testing Funnel Steps

Use split testing to improve your funnel's performance. Create variations of a step, compare results, and refine your approach based on what the data shows.

Create Split Test Variation

Click the " + Create Variation" button to generate alternative versions of a step. Test different layouts, content, or CTAs to find out what works best for your audience.

Delete Funnel Step

Remove unwanted funnel steps by clicking "Delete Funnel Step." This action can't be undone, so take care.

Clone Funnel Step

Save time by cloning existing funnel steps. You can duplicate steps within the same funnel or across multiple accounts, keeping things consistent and efficient.

The Funnel Step Tab gives you everything you need to manage and optimise your sales funnel. Whether you're adding new steps, running split tests, or fine-tuning existing elements, it's all in one place.
