Your pipelines hold all the key information about a customer's journey and the details of a deal. Because of that, not every team member will need access, and you may want to limit editing to admins only. You can manage this easily from the Pipelines tab.

Managing Permissions

Navigate to the Pipelines tab inside the Opportunities section and click the key icon next to your desired pipeline.

Managing Users

A panel will open on the right, letting you choose how to share the pipeline. Pick from:

  1. Share with all users: This is selected by default and automatically grants access to all staff members.
  2. Share with selected users: This lets you choose which users can access this pipeline.
  3. Exclude specific users: This grants access to all unselected users, removing your chosen users from interacting with the pipeline.

If you've chosen to share with or exclude users, you can select them from the drop-down menu. All admins have full access to all pipelines and cannot be excluded.

When excluding a user, you'll see an error message if they have assigned opportunities. This prevents revoking access from opportunity owners and leaving those opportunities without an owner.

Managing Permissions

Once you've chosen which users to grant access to, select the permission level from the drop-down menu on the right. Options are view (to prevent editing), edit (to grant full control), and No access (to remove the pipeline entirely).

Once you're happy with your permissions, click Save to apply them.

This will immediately add or remove the selected permissions for your chosen users, including linked elements (dashboards, reports, forms, workflows), keeping your pipelines managed properly by the right people. It makes it easier to keep your team accountable and stay on top of customer relationships.
