The Messaging Tab within your Chat Widget lets you configure the language and content for the messages sent when a chat is ending. You can also update the acknowledgement icon and its placeholder colour. This guide covers all of these settings so you can personalise your chat widget messages.

Acknowledgement - Live Chat Widget

Acknowledgement Message

Start by expanding the Acknowledgement tab within a Live Chat Widget. The first field you'll see is the Acknowledgement Message field. Enter the text that should appear when the interaction is complete.

Feedback Message

Encourage your clients to leave feedback on the interaction by entering a personalised message in this field.

Feedback Submission Note

In the Feedback Submission Note section, you can thank them for their time or share a link to additional resources or a relevant page for further help.

Chat Ended Message

Enter a message to allow users to restart the chat. A "Click Here" button will be displayed below your message.

Acknowledgement Icon and Placeholder Colour

Customise the icon that sends the acknowledgement messages, along with its background colour. Use custom images by clicking the gallery icon.

Acknowledgement - SMS/Email Chat Widget

Now let's look at the Acknowledgement Tab of an SMS/Email Chat Widget.

Customer Support Contact

You'll be asked to enter either a phone number or an email address that your clients can use to reach your support team. This step is optional, but it's well worth providing an alternative contact method to help with faster response times.

Acknowledgement Message

Enter the text that should appear after the form has been completed.

Acknowledgement Greeting

Include a warm greeting to precede the Acknowledgement message.

Acknowledgement Icon and Placeholder Colour

Customise the icon that sends the acknowledgement messages, along with its background colour. Use custom images by clicking the gallery icon.

Preview the chat widget after making any changes to check you're happy with it, then save once everything looks good.
