Following contacts lets your team collaborate more easily, with better access to the right information and simpler task management. It also makes it straightforward to delegate responsibilities and keep workflows running smoothly.
To get this set up for your team, follow these steps:
Enable "Only Assigned Data" Setting
Go to settings and open the "My Staff" tab from the left sidebar. From here you can add a new employee by clicking "+ Add Employee", or edit an existing one using the edit button.

In user permissions, enable the "Restrict data visibility to only assigned data" option.

Adding Followers to a Contact
Go back to the main menu, open the "Contacts" tab from the left sidebar, and navigate to "Smart Lists." Click on the contact you want to open its details.

Find the "Followers" option on the upper panel and click the people icon to add followers. A multi-select dropdown will show the available users in your account, where you can choose up to 10 users to follow and access the same record.

📌 Important Note: Followers have owner-level permissions to manage and edit contacts together, but they cannot edit or change the owner's contact information. This keeps your data secure and consistent.
Limitations
Follower contacts are only visible when the "Only Assigned Data" setting is turned on. If followers can't see the contact they're supposed to follow, check that this setting is correctly enabled.
