The "Featured Posts" feature gives Admins and Owners the ability to highlight important content within channels and on the home timeline. By lifting the visibility of key posts, it makes sure that critical information is easy to find for everyone. Whether it's an update, an announcement, or an important discussion, featured posts sit front and centre where they won't be missed.
How to Highlight a Post as Featured
- Locate the post you want to highlight.
- Click on the three-dot menu in the upper right-hand corner of the post.
- Choose the "Pin" option.
That's it. The post is now marked as "Featured" and will receive special attention.
Where Featured Posts Are Displayed
Featured posts appear at both the channel level and on your home timeline.
At the Channel Level
When you pin a post within a specific channel, it will appear at the very top of that channel's content feed. Every member visiting the channel will see it first.
On the Home Timeline
Pinning a post on the Home Timeline works the same way. It appears at the top of your home feed so that important content gets the attention it deserves, even on your main dashboard.
How to Remove a Featured Post
If you need to unpin a post, follow these steps:
- Identify the featured post you want to unpin.
- Click on the three-dot menu in the upper right-hand corner of the post.
- Select the "Unpin" option.
The post will no longer be featured, but it stays in its original location and remains accessible to everyone.
