Meta is great for attracting leads to your page, so running into issues with Facebook publishing can feel frustrating. Don't worry, we're here to help. Let's go through the most common fixes for Facebook publishing issues.
Pages Not Showing In The List
If you can't see the page you want to connect to, the main reasons are as follows.
Content Permission is missing.
Your account might be missing the proper connections to the Facebook Page. To check this, log in to your Meta Business Suite and access the settings.

Switch to the Pages section and ensure the user has Full Control as their permission level.

Permission Through The Business Manager
If you have full control in the section above but are still having issues, you might be missing Admin access on your account. To check this, log in to your Facebook profile and switch to the page's profile from the dropdown menu.

On the left side menu, click Professional Dashboard.

Under "Your tools," select "Page access."

If your account isn't already added, click "Add New" to grant yourself Facebook access, or ask someone who already has access to do it for you.

Page Is Missing With Admin Access
If you have both permission sets but still can't post to your page, it might be a Business Integration issue. To fix it, log in to your Facebook profile with admin access, navigate to your profile picture icon on the right and click on Settings and Privacy.

In the Settings & privacy options, select Settings.

In the left side menu, find the Your Activity section and select Business integrations.

Find the "Leadconnector" option and click View and edit.

A pop-up will load. If any channels are unchecked, you can tick them from here. Make sure you've granted all the permissions and selected all of your social channels. If everything is already selected, we recommend removing the access and reconnecting the integration from scratch.

Facebook Post Failed to Publish
When publishing to Facebook, you might see an error saying the content failed to publish. The most common reasons are:
- Content Deemed Inappropriate: Your message couldn't be sent because it includes content that other people on Facebook have reported as abusive or inappropriate, or goes against Facebook Community Standards.
- Error validating access token: The session has been invalidated because the admin has changed their password or Facebook has changed the session for security reasons. This happens if you've changed your account password or haven't made a post to Facebook in the past 90 days from Social Planner.
- Two Factor Authentication: If the business page you're managing has two-factor authentication enabled, enable 2FA at the account level and reconnect your account.
- 'manage\_permissions' must be granted: This means the account used to connect the Facebook page to the social planner doesn't have admin permissions, or failed to accept "manage permissions" when integrating the account.
- Missing or Invalid Image: If you have scheduled social media posts and the image's link is no longer opening, you'll see this error for your social post.
- The URL you supplied is invalid: When your post includes a link, Facebook will index it. When Facebook servers are under heavy load, they can't index it within the request time, which causes this error. We recommend using a new link or retrying in a few minutes.
