Email events give you useful insight into how recipients engage with your emails, such as opening a message or unsubscribing from marketing communications. The Email Event trigger starts a workflow whenever a specific email event occurs, notifying you of significant customer actions and letting you adjust your recipient list or refine your email strategy.
Add the trigger to your workflow to get started!

Workflow Trigger Name
Update the trigger name, if required, to reflect its function and purpose.

Add Filters
Add filters to choose the event that will fire the workflow, or limit the trigger to only retrieve data on emails within a particular workflow.

Event
When configuring a trigger based on email events, the Event filter lets you select the specific event that will activate the trigger from a sent email. Available options include email Bounced, Clicked, Complained (the contact reports the email as spam), Opened, or Unsubscribed.

In Workflow
The In Workflow filter lets you select a specific workflow to search for events when setting up a trigger. Use the search bar to find the workflow you need.
This filter lets you move contacts from other workflows into a more targeted workflow, where you can provide tailored information. Alternatively, you can remove contacts from all workflows and mark them as Do Not Disturb (DND), typically for contacts who have marked emails as spam, bounced, or unsubscribed. This helps protect your email deliverability and maintain a positive sender reputation.

These filters can be combined for a more targeted approach.
Save the trigger once you're happy with the configuration, then add the appropriate workflow actions. Using this trigger, you can strengthen your email marketing strategies and improve customer engagement.
