Building an active and engaged community takes more than just creating content; it's about keeping members connected, informed, and inspired to return. One way to achieve this is through personalised community newsletters. These digests highlight the best posts, threads, and events, then deliver them straight to members' inboxes, ensuring no one misses the action.
What's Inside Every Newsletter?
Newsletters are designed to bring your community's most valuable content front and centre. Each digest includes:
- Active Threads: The last post a member engaged with, plus the newest replies from others to keep conversations flowing.
- Top Posts: Trending content from public channels so everyone sees what's hot.
- Posts from Followed Members: Personalised updates featuring the voices your members care about most.
- Upcoming Events: A snapshot of what's ahead, making sure no one misses important gatherings.
- Clickable Cards: Every featured post, thread, and event doubles as a call-to-action, making it effortless for members to jump back in.
How to Use the Newsletter Feature
Activating newsletters is simple and entirely under your control:
Enable in Settings
By default, newsletters are disabled. The community owner or any admin can switch them on in the Newsletter section of the Community Group's settings.

Set the Frequency
From the Newsletter Frequency drop-down, you can choose how often it should be sent: daily, weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly.

Choose exactly when newsletters go out by selecting a time (1), timezone (2), and the weekday or monthly date (3), based on what works best for your members.

Once set, newsletters are automatically generated and sent!
Member Preferences
Each member can manage their subscription through the Update Preferences link in every email or directly from their account settings under Notifications by selecting Communities.

Once the correct Community Group has been selected, check the box next to the Newsletters option.
📌Note: Clicking the unsubscribe link in a newsletter will prevent future newsletters from being sent to the member, but will not affect other community notifications or settings.

With newsletters, your community's best moments don't get buried; they get highlighted. By combining automation with personalisation, you can re-engage members, amplify top content, and strengthen the connections that make your community thrive. Turn them on today, and let your best content do the work of bringing people back.
