How to Use the CSV Blog Importer

Access Blogs & Choose a Target Blog

Log in to your account and navigate to Sites > Blogs from the left menu. Create a new blog site by selecting Create Blog, or open an existing one by clicking its name.

Start a CSV Import

Next, click the New Post dropdown and select Import Blog Post from CSV.

Prepare & Upload the File

This will show options to download the sample CSV or XLSX template, or click Upload (or drag and drop) your prepared file.

Once you've uploaded your file, review the summary and formatting tips, then open any blog card to preview and edit your post as needed.

Set the publish date. Past dates publish immediately, future dates schedule automatically, and blank or invalid dates are saved as drafts.

Import & Confirm

Finally, click Import.

In the confirmation modal, review the summary (number of posts published or saved as drafts) and click Import to add the posts to your blog site.

The CSV Blog Importer takes the effort out of blog migration, so you can import, preview, and publish content without the hassle. Whether you're managing one site or many, it keeps things fast and accurate so you can get on with creating rather than copying.

✍Important Notes

  • Automatic Validation: The platform scans your CSV headers on upload and flags any missing or misspelled fields.
  • Required Fields: All required headers must be present, though cell values may remain blank.
  • Error Detection: Inline error chips highlight issues such as missing images, invalid dates, or long meta descriptions.
  • File Size: Keep your CSV under 25MB to avoid timeouts; split larger files into smaller batches.
  • Time Zone Handling: The importer respects each account's time zone to ensure accurate publishing times.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What's the maximum number of posts I can import at once?

Q: Does the importer download and host my images?

Q: Do drafts count toward the 60-post limit?

Q: Can I undo an import?

  • There's no one-click rollback, but you can manually delete, or bulk-delete imported posts.
