Digital products are intangible goods delivered electronically, including ebooks, digital music, and digital art. They require no physical inventory and can be easily distributed to a global audience. This article walks you through the key steps to set up your digital product in the CRM, along with best practices for maximising its appeal and effectiveness.

To get started, navigate to the Payments section and select Products within your account. Here, you can either choose an existing product or create a new one.

📌 Note: Digital product delivery is only available for orders placed through eCommerce stores, so you'll need to enable the Store option in the Product Information section.

If creating a new product, fill out the relevant fields for your product, such as assigning a title, defining its price and tax structure, and configuring variants if required.

The steps to create a digital product vary depending on whether your products have variants. Follow the steps below that match your product structure.

Products Without Variants

From the Pricing section, select the name of the pricing option you wish to modify.

Scroll to the Shipping and Delivery settings, then select Digital Product and upload the file you wish to sell.

Verify the name of the selected file, then click Save to retain your changes.

Products With Variants

For products with variants, navigate to the Variants section within the Product editor and select the specific variant you wish to modify.

Upload the files you intend to include with your digital product by selecting them from your device. Once uploaded, review the file names to ensure they are correct. After verifying, click Save to confirm and store the changes to your digital product settings.

After configuring all product details, activate the Enable Order Confirmation Email feature in Payments > Settings > Notifications to enable email delivery of digital products. If this setting is not enabled, customers can only download their products directly from the Checkout Page.

By following each setup step and enabling the relevant notifications, you can be confident that your digital products are accessible and easy for customers to retrieve.

✍️Important Notes

  • Different variants of either Physical or Digital products can be created. For example, if selling books, variants such as Ebook, Audiobook, or Physical Book can be established.
  • Up to 10 files can be uploaded, with each file limited to a maximum size of 100 MB. If additional files are needed, a ZIP file under 100 MB can be created for upload. Supported file types include images, audio, video, documents, and ZIP files. Remember to save your changes after uploading the files.
