The Create Object or Associated Record action lets you create a new Object record, or an associated object record, whenever the trigger conditions are met. Records are added automatically as needed, keeping your data management tidy.
How It Works
Start by creating a new workflow in the Automation section of your account, or open an existing Objects workflow from the list.
📌Note: The title of the Custom Object workflow option will vary depending on the Custom Objects you have configured in the Settings > Objects section and will take the format of {{Custom Object Name}} based workflow.
In this guide, we'll use an Examples Custom Object to show how the Create Custom Object or Associated Record Action works.

Add New Action
Rename the workflow if needed and add a trigger if applicable. Then go to the Workflow Actions list and select the Create {{Object}} or Associated Record option to start setting up the action.

Action Name
Update the Workflow Action Name if needed to clearly describe what the action does.

Object Record
This field shows records created in the Settings > Objects section of your account. Select the Object or Associated Record from the dropdown.

Owner
Assign new objects to a team member by selecting them from the dropdown.

Followers
If another team member needs to follow the object, add them here.

Primary Display Field
Enter the required value in the primary object field. You can also use custom object fields or custom values for more flexibility.

Fields
Add fields by selecting them from the dropdown menu. This lets you include additional details in the object record so it captures everything you need.

Save
Save the action to include it in your workflow.

Once you're done, publish and save the workflow to activate it.
