This guide covers how to automate affiliate commission payments using PayPal. Before you start, make sure your PayPal account is connected. You can verify this by navigating to the Payments tab and selecting Integrations. If your account is connected, you'll see the option to Manage it. If not, connect your account first. For help, refer to the available articles on setting up PayPal integrations.
How It Works
Initiating and Confirming Payouts
Go to the Payout section of your Affiliate Manager in the marketing section.
Select the Approved for Payout tab. Here, you can select the affiliates for payout by checking the box next to their name.
The steps to finalise the payout vary depending on whether you're paying one affiliate or several at once. For an individual payout, click the $Pay button.
To pay multiple affiliates, click the Pay button at the top. This applies to all the affiliates you selected.
Review and confirm the payout details. If everything looks correct, click Pay Now to finalise.
If you haven't added a PayPal account for any of the affiliates, click Add Account to do so. Once added, click Pay Now to complete.
📌Note: Affiliates can also add their payout information in the Commissions section of their affiliate Dashboard, once you've enabled the option in the Affiliate Manager Settings.
Completed Payments
You can see the successful payments under the Paid tab. For more details on a payment, click the three dots to view them.
You'll then be able to see the payment details, including the date, amount, and status.
That's all there is to it. You can use this to advance commission payouts to your affiliates or make sure commissions are paid on time.
📌 Note: PayPal may take some time to process payments; during this time the transaction status may temporarily show as "Pending." To see the latest status, click the refresh icon. Affiliates should regularly check their transaction status in the Commissions section of their account for real-time updates.
