The "Google Analytics" action lets you fire custom events within your Google Analytics (GA) account. Compatible with Google Analytics 4 (GA4), it tracks specific user interactions or behaviours on your website or app, giving you richer insight into user activity. Good triggers to pair with this action include: Page Visit, Form Submission, Appointment Booked, and Order Form Submission.

Add the action to your workflow by clicking the "+" icon, then select it from the actions list.

Action Name

Enter a name for the action here, or leave the default.

Action Type

View the measurement type being used. Please note that Google Analytics 4 has replaced Universal Analytics.

Measurement ID

Enter the unique ID for your Google Analytics property.

Event Name

Specify the event name that will appear in GA4 (e.g., "purchase", "page\_view").

API Secret

Enter the API secret key from your GA4 setup to send event data securely.

Event Value

Optionally, you can pass a value associated with the event, such as revenue or click data, to further enrich your analytics.

Once you are happy with the action configuration, hit save. This adds the action to your workflow, letting you track specific user interactions or behaviours in GA for better insights.
