Keeping your communication consistent helps build trust with your customers and leaves a positive, lasting impression on everyone who engages with your business. Text Snippets let you create premade messages so you can respond to contacts quickly and consistently. You can use these Snippets to reply to SMS messages and short chat messages, such as Facebook or Instagram DMs.

Creating a Snippet

To create a new text Snippet, click the + New Snippet button in the top right of your screen under Snippets in the Conversations section of your account. A dropdown will appear where you can choose either Add Text Snippet or Add Email Snippet. Click on Add Text Snippet, and a pop-up will appear for you to fill in your Snippet details.

Required Fields

When creating a text Snippet, there are two required fields.

  1. Name: This helps you and your team find the right Snippet quickly when you need it.
  2. Snippets Body: This is where you type your message. To make it more personal, you can add custom values and trigger links using their associated dropdown menus at the top of the box.

Attaching Files

To add a file from your computer or device to a text Snippet, click the Add Attachment button at the bottom left near the Snippet text. You can also add a file by inserting the file URL and clicking the +Add button.

This lets you send images, documents, and other files alongside your message content.

Sending a Test SMS

It's worth testing your Snippet before saving it. Type a phone number into the box under the message preview and click the Send Test button.

Snippet Preview

To see how your text Snippet will look, check the right-hand side of the screen. This section shows a preview of your Snippet, including the body text values and any attachments you've added.

Saving a Snippet

Once your Snippet is ready, click the Save button to add it to your Snippet library.
