The Find Contact action lets you search for contacts based on specific, customisable criteria. It simplifies contact management and targeted automation, helping your workflows locate the right contacts quickly based on key data points. For more advanced use cases, the action can be configured to match contacts based on an external reference, such as a Stripe Customer ID stored in a custom field. This lets you search for contacts linked to external systems via Inbound Webhook or Custom Marketplace Triggers.

How It Works

Insert the "Find Contact" Action

Start by adding the Find Contact action at the right point in your workflow. This ensures the action runs when it's needed in the automation.

Action Name

Update the action name to reflect its purpose.

Add Field

Set your search criteria by selecting the relevant standard or custom field values.

You can configure multiple fields so the search only returns contacts that match all the specified criteria, giving you highly targeted results.

Email & Phone Fields

When adding an email or Phone field, you can tick the checkbox below it to include additional phones or emails.

Once you've added all the relevant fields, save the action to add it to the workflow.

If branching is enabled, you can define separate paths depending on whether a contact is found. All subsequent actions will follow the Contact Found branch accordingly.

Using this feature, you can automate the search for specific contacts based on predefined criteria, keeping your workflows efficient and effective. Whether you're working with internal data or external references, it gives you a straightforward way to manage and segment your contacts.
